Vintage hot-rods and customs, Vintage restorations and Vintage repairs. These are our main business. We do NOT build tuners or "today's" hot-rods. We're not an standard auto repair shop nor a production body shop though we do mechanical repairs and body part fabrication, patching and replacement.

Our primary business is the careful, loving building and restoration of vintage autos. We do NOTHING mechanically with vehicles manufactured after 1972.

We treat each vehicle as if it's our own. And following the design lead of the owner, we'll create his or her dream. This dream may be of a complete original as it rolled off the factory floor. This dream may be an original body with contemporary features which add to the comfort of the owner. This dream may be of a chopped hot rod with a 572 cu.in. crate motor to smoke the tires on the strip.

About Holmes Auto Restorations

Holmes' Auto Restorations began for the love of old cars. I've a unique perspective on the American auto. I look at the car as a tool, much like a hammer to use, take care of, but still a tool. However, old cars are unique and have a personality. Each is an individual with many years under its belt.

I began restoring cars in 1977. My first "restoration" was a 65 Mustang that I rebuilt and drove the wheels off of. I finally sold it to my step-dad who used it to deliver newspapers until it fell apart. My second restoration was a 59 Chevy pickup that got a total restoration, up to replacing every bolt in the vehicle. I drove the truck as a daily into the 90's and have always owned "vintage" vehicles. Finally, in 2005 I realized a dream, opening a restoration business. It's been a part time endeavor due to "life issues" (think eating and paying bills) but have finally reached the point in life where money and food were NOT in short supply. Our shop is now opened, 2400 sq. ft. in Spring, TX. (Note the address is Conroe but the physical location is really in Spring/Oak Ridge North...close to Oak Ridge schools.)
